Born Alan Robert Krakower in 1948 in Montreal. A successful adman, then a media executive — editor of a Montreal magazine, publisher, producer — who in 1983 walked away from all of it and moved to the island of Ibiza.
On the night of 3 January 1987 he reports being overtaken by what he called 'the Voice' — a transmission that continued, uninterrupted, for eight days and nights. What emerged was the Human Design System: a synthesis of the I Ching, the Kabbalah, Vedic chakras, astrology, and quantum physics, laid out as a single coherent map of the energetic architecture of a person.
He spent the next twenty-four years teaching it from Ibiza. The IHDS (International Human Design School) he founded trains analysts worldwide. He died in 2011. Every Human Design reading given today still traces back to those eight days.
