Dr. David R. Hawkins

Psychiatrist and spiritual teacher who mapped the calibrated levels of human consciousness — from shame at the bottom to enlightenment at the top. His kinesiology research revealed that love and truth calibrate exponentially higher than fear and force. Essential for anyone serious about the mechanics of vibration.

Born 1927 in Milwaukee. A psychiatrist who ran one of the largest clinical practices in New York for decades, treating everyone from celebrities to lifelong schizophrenics. Co-authored Orthomolecular Psychiatry with Linus Pauling in 1973. Conventional, credentialed, and then something broke open.

In 1995 he published Power vs. Force, introducing the map of consciousness — a logarithmic scale from 20 (shame) to 1000 (enlightenment) calibrated through kinesiology. Whether you accept the methodology or not, the framework itself became one of the clearest vocabularies in modern spiritual work for the difference between force and power.

He wrote eleven more books over the next seventeen years, teaching weekend seminars until the end. He died in 2012 at 85. His students describe him as a man whose presence did most of the work.
